help help help URGENT please
I'll try to keep this short, OK?
It's now gone 5.00 a.m in UK
That's just for info, cos a bloke will he here in about 3 houts time (well, 8.00 - 1.00 is the window and unlike some places I know that WILL be the window! )
OK here's the story:
Hub bought, on the internet, VAI0 VGN-BZ11MN Notebook PC
Laptop thing
He hasn't done anything to it apart from add Norton and Office. He really hasn't had a chance to get on the internet because I'm on it all the time and at the moment we are on dial-up here in UK.
A man is coming tomorrow to sort out broadband and wireless connections etc
Meantime, after checking out the Windows Vista etc, this evening he turned it on and as it 'wound up' the little green boxes stopped whilst it was 'winding up' and screen went blank. He did the 'hit start' and closed it down. (I think)
Now it won't start at ALL. I've taken the battery out for X number of minutes and put it back, to no avail.
We will phone the tech dept of the company tomorrow, but are we missing something we should have done?
It just refuses to fire up.
I wondered if he'd locked it by mistake, but I can't see how. Honestly, I've tried everything I know (which isn't much) but I wonder if the hard disk has just blown!!!
Oh and P.S. none of the troubleshooting manuals or how to plug it in pamphlets help. I've tried googling to find more, but so far nothing.
Is it just an F1 situation? Hub is not happy :(
