Great Chinese food in the heart of Doha
For years we've heard about the great food at Chi-zen and when finally got a chance to visit we definitely were not disappointed.
Located inside the Oryx Rotana Hotel near the Old Airport, this is Chinese food not to be missed.
They were also nominated for the Best Chinese in Time Out Doha's 2013 & 2014 restaurant awards.
They serve mainly Cantonese food with a variety of regional dishes too. They have a great selection of refreshing mocktails to accomodate your, sometimes spicy, meal.
If you are confused about what to order from their big selection the waiters are very helpful.
Starters include soup, dim sum, cold salads and an amazing shrimp toast. They have a variety of vegetarian mains - a rare find in Doha!
We ordered their crispy chilli beef and sweet and sour chicken.
The portions are big so you definitely want to come hungry. Entertainer vouchers are also seamlessly accepted here, so you get one free main course for each one that you order.
The ambiance is amazing and the service attentive with the option of both indoor and outdoor seating.
You know it's authentic Chinese when there are in fact lots of Chinese travelers dining at the restaurant.
