Not to be confused with desert roses--where is the location for quartz in Qatar?

I heard there are such places. Any clue? Anybody??

I have heard it is somewhere 60km north of Doha if you take the North Road. From Huwalia/Al Waab (?) go another 15km or so off-road. Sorry I don't have specific directions or coordinates and have never gone myself. You can probably get more accurate info from the Qatar Natural History Group http://www.qnhg.org

They also do monthly field trips to places like this when the weather gets a little cooler.
