Did anybody saw Perseid meteor shower in Doha Yesterday?
I went on terrace and could see stars and in between those stars i could see very tiny twinkling and moving objects like sand particles. We have to see sky for 10 minutes because of full moon it was very tough to watch them. Do you think what i described is perseid meteor shower. Please share your comments.
I was in AL Khor to watch meteor shower,but visibility is very poor due to moon light,difficult to notice their movement.1 or 2 I noticed,but it was just a second a pop up and vanish.
I recommend should watch on 13th because moon light will be less competitively yesterday.

I was on my Friday morning walk in Dukhan at 3:38pm.
I have a habit of checking my phone to see how long I take on the walk when I noticed the floor infront of me start to flicker!
I looked up and saw the meteor shoot past right infront of me above! I shot past and seemed to be low in the sky shooting east.
It was an amazing sight and noone was out in the street at that time so it felt special!!

If you were able to see it last night, yes it was the meteor shower (I think it normally happens on 13th August). I tried for half an hour but was not lucky to notice any movements.
