This is not Switzerland, it is KASHMIR, which presents a mesmerizing and breathtaking natural and uncut beauty.
Unfortunately, this scenic beauty is out of bound for international tourists, because Kashmir is still an unfinished partition dispute between India and Pakistan since 1947.
Hospitality and the destination depend on the quality of service. Where there is service there is good tourism. However tourist or a traveller expectation may differ. Some tourist wish to travel their own, and some likes to use tour operators or travel agents.
Now a days, the tourist or the GCC guests are mostly use to book hotels online to come to Qatar rather Travel Agents. So when you book online, the destination definitely should be service oriented. Or else fully equipped for the need what a tourist requires.
I learnt Singapore, Thailand are some of the best service provider’s.
(During one of my training, I learnt a guest was signing the registration card in left hand and for his surprise the dining table at the restaurant for him was set up accordingly) This happened in Thailand and the guest was so amused.
This is the kind of service will attract more tourist I suppose.
During my engagement with a resort hotel long time ago, We receive several groups from UK / Germany and some other European continent’s. Most of the guests already prepared with TIP money for their trip. Usually it’s part of their expenditure. And most of the guest left with good memories & staff also feel very happy.
I think AISA should promote more the country rather a destination. Example - Malaysia.
Mr. Najy. I spoke about my experience. When I visited the whole place was covered with snow. Huge traffic jams on the highway. I spoke about the guides, cab drivers. I did not accuse all Kashmiri people. Please go through my post once more. I am not a tour operator. I did visit most of the places I mentioned in my previous post. Most of the places I visited offered good value for money and more variety. When you travel with your family which includes kids. They like to see a lot of places. How long can you be entertained with the same old lakes, mountain ranges and valleys? Say for example Mysore, Karnataka. You start with the palaces, zoo, ancient temples, Buddhist monasteries, waterfalls, dams with huge gardens, museums, jungle safaris, hill stations, coffee estates, flowing rivers etc. Just hire a car and drive all around the state with excellent road and rail connectivity. I am talking about variety and value for money.
Logic0and1, you are biased and full of malice for kashmiri people. As a tourist you can visit any place, be it north india or south india, it depends upon your choice. But the way you are putting your comments does not seem good. I am a Kashmiri and I invite you to visit Kashmir this summer, and be my guest for whole trip. I will arrange everything and all the expenses on me.
Some people may be mischievous but that holds true for any country, bet it even US or UK.
I have been to all over Europe and Indian states undoubtedly Kashmir is the most beautiful place on earth. It has more than 35 places to visit. Beautiful lakes like Tarsar marsar, largest Lake of Asia Wulur, Dal Lake, Gulmarg-helisking, pehalgam.
When I compare the costs in Switzerland compared to e.g Germany, Austra it is at least 3times more than these countries and most of Europe and then tourism costs are nothing in comparison to best tourism places.
Some of the spectacular views in kashmir are Gang BAL Lake, hot air balloon, the 7 color river and changing colours of Lading mountains.
There is much to discover in the Paradise on Earth known from the Persian Mughal Empire Shah Jehan.
The people of kashmir are profound and will come out of their way to help Actually magnanimous. I would appreciate all of you to visit Kashmir there is lot to be discovered in Valley surrounded by lower himalayas......
Tourists world over throng the place. The travel advisories have been lifted and its safe to visit this great place. Place offers the natural beauty that is unmatched and unparallel. Not to be missed if one has come so near to in asia. Flights are just 4 hours to Delhi and 1.5 hours to Srinagar (Kashmir's international airport) then.
Tourist are fleeced everywhere. Deplorable behavior of sledge-owners, tourist guides and cab drivers. Each and everything from the warm clothes, gloves, boots, food is costly. I am sure the pictures you see in google are very pleasant. Just pay a visit once to this place also called "Kashmir Janat Nazeer", paradise on earth and make up your own mind.
Kashmir is not a snow resort, rather it has much more, like world best varieties of flowers, birds, plants, fresh water and amazing landscape, which is why it is called "Kashmir Janat Nazeer" meaning Kashmir is similar to paradise.
Old Indian kings used to spend their summer time in Kashmir.
Thousands of movies have been produced in the Kashmir vallies.
In my opinion Kashmir is like a frozen Popsicle. I don’t understand why would any potential tourists waste their energy, time and money to see a few snow covered mountains. You have to put on several layers of warm clothing which will make you uncomfortable and restrict your body movement. Just pay a visit to north east India states like Meghalaya (Sohra, shilling, cherrapunji, mawsynram, mawlynnong, wmaiam lake), south India. E.g. states of Goa, Karnataka (Mysore my hometown, Bandipur, Hampi, Belur, Halebid, Badami, Mullayanagiri, Jog falls, Coorg, Karwar, etc.) Kerala ( Alleppey backwaters, Munnar, Kumarakom, Wayanad, Thekkady, etc.), Tamilnadu (Thanjavur, Rameswaram, Mahabalipuram, Nilgiris, Ooty, Kodaikanal etc) western ghats etc. You can enjoy the excellent weather, sun, pristine beaches, jungle safari, Palaces, centuries old temple architecture, evergreen mountains and breath taking waterfalls. Donkey/Horse ride in Kashmir watching barren snow covered mountain ranges pales in comparison to a ride atop a 11 feet elephant watching tigers/deer’s in lush green forest like a king.

There is no match to Kashmir's natural beauty, and simply no logic can beat it because it is God gifted.

My German colleague went trekking in Kashmir and said it was beautiful
