Do visit Atlantis, I don't really see the point of visiting Burj Khalifa apart from telling everyone that you visited the tallest building in the world so you can do that, Dubai Mall, Emirates mall only if you want to go skiing otherwise its just another mall like the ones you have in Qatar.
Skip all the other malls, do spend some time at the creek.
Sharjah heritage museum is pretty good if you are into museums. Unless you are going to buy Gold, skip the Gold souq. Madinat Jumeriah is a neat place to visit.
I will add Wild Wadi & a drive to Al Ain too if you have the time.
You may try a Helicopter Ride over Dubai Creek - Jumeirah Beach - Sheikh Zayed Road - Sheikh Khalifa Tower - for about 15 minutes ..
Visit by yourself .. very easy .. homely environment ..
