Hai,
my self and my brother in law decided to go for Umra on next July 14th (insha ALlah)
he is working in Japanese company and I work in UK based company. when he apply for leave he got 10 Days Umra leave (un-paid) which will not affect his annual Leave, and his HR said this as per Qatar Labor Law, it allowed one time to all Muslim Employees during their working time.
When I asked to my company they said there is no Labor Law like this ......
anyone know this information ??
please update me, with proof if it’s possible,
okey ...
and thanks for the information, my brother in law is lucky !!!
Just a correction leave is not for Umrah it is only for Hajj, once in your life time if you are working in the same company until you retire . And this is not a law it’s a company policy, company might give or not that is again up to the company. If you are in Qatar most of the :Q: company have this policy.
Umrah always on your annual paid or unpaid leave. It is up to you how much time you will go to perform Umrah.
normally the qatar labour law specifies only for the Pilgrimage leave which is 15 days unpaid and not related to your annual leave.
But definitely there is nothing as Umra leave..
