Guys we (Family members) planning for a umrah on beginning of february (insha allah) though roadways in a car from doha to Mecca. Could someone help us out on this saying from most of the people that "Umrah through roadways has been banned temporarily since there are accidents on rise". please advice whether its allowed or not? It will be much pleasure and blessings from allah (swt) to whomever helps us on this case.

Molten: I do not know about that side among his qualities but one thing I am sure of is that he does not miss a single opportunity of hitting out at Arabs, Arab countries, Islam and the Muslim. However, recently I have seen a marked change and reduction in the volley of his attacks and keep on wondering if there has been a review in his thinking and that he may have begun to look at the world in a broader perspective.

zzsyed1: You should contact Hajj & Umrah agents in Doha who usually have the latest news on such matters.

This has got nothing to do with the breaking up of diplomatic relations with Iran and we should not mix things up. lion4lion"s comment is also way off the mark. Umrah visa is a totally different thing. Due to the system of checks and controls that are now in place in S Arabia, it is almost impossible for people to work illegally in S Arabia.

I wouldn't go to SA at all. They have just broken up diplomatic ties with Iran. God knows what trouble lies ahead there.
