What to call these airhostesses

Air Arabia Flight G9139 from Sharja to Doha on 20th Jan. A 14 year old child on wheelchair with prosthesis of hips , just out of hospital and mother begging the three airhostesses to give a front seat so that it does not hurt his knees. Answer was a firm NO and she was made to carry him till the middle of the seats.

I thought at least the airlines selected civilised people as cabin crew....

One can't blame AIR HOSTESSES for their mis-behaviour..Its the whole airline management on fault..One can't expect a five star service from a low cost airline..The only thing that i think the air hostesses could have done that they could have requested the front seat passengers to go in the middle so that the BOY n his MOM could have seated in the front to avoid ne further complications with that BOY..

you pay peanuts, you get monkeys, simple rule mate...i know that's how it shouldn't be ESPECIALLY since you paid that extra but low-cost flying is still a very new concept in the mid-east & it hasn't gotten as competitive as the rest of the world, where one incident like this can turn people to fly other airlines, fly Dubai has just come into the market, before that Air Arabia had the low cost monopoly so if people wanted low cost, they had to deal with Air Arabia, good or bad service, they didn't have a choice...as this market matures, one will see better service standards in this segment, those girls probably have some airhostess training certiifcate from some back alley "training school" which for all you know might not even exist,if they were properly trained, they'd be flying with Emirates or Qatar...i feel for you mate but this is just how the cookie crumbles right now...

Its your fault.

You were the one to select the front row seat by requesting while purchasing the ticket or when getting the boarding pass.

Then you cant blame her she cant risk her job. you were suppose to speak to that shift manager on flight to help you out.

they should have refuse to travel and make a big issue about it as per the DOT (the department of transport in the US) you can make them pay for the emotionel feeling ,you can write to the airline and even contact the CRO (complain resolution officer) of this airline as his job is to look into this matter,by the way that way always travel with 5 stars airline better.

In short Don't use Cheap Rate Flights like Air Arabia or Fly Dubai, when one need special attentions from staff.

What happen to Qatar Airways and Emirates?

I can't blame airhostesses in this case, it was a request, could be denied for some acceptable reasons.

To be honest, the person responsible for the child should have requested the seat when they purchased the ticket like the people who were sitting there at the time did weeks before the flight. Usually those seats are for able passengers who are capable of opening the exit doors in case of an emergency.

Request was made to Air Arabia counters before checkin and also through an e mail. Special fee of Rs.6000/ was also paid for the wheel chair passenger !

I am really sorry for what happened to the mother and the child.

But I think, they should booked while they are boarding the flight, the boarding attendant would be so helpfull regarding this, coz they the one who arrange the seating by giving out the seat numbers.

If it is not booked, the air hostesses then should persuase those front seat passengers to exchange the seat, there is 2 possibilities :

1) the air hostess didnt do their job well, (then you can blame them!)

2) or the other passengers just so ignorance to move for a sick child.

Btw, for relieve, go complain to the air arabia office accordingly.

What about those pessengers of front seats? They were ready to replace their seats?

why didnt you put in the request when you booked the flight/ later when you checked in at the airport?

Does that blame also lie with the airhostess?

You could have asked the passengers on the front seat and see whether they would have agreed to your request.

Hmmm.. I'll take a wild guess at what we ought to call them.. idiots? Selfish? Earning a pittance so they have no pride in their job?
