When my mother in law visits Qatar to see us, will she be able to stay with my family or will she have to book

I have heard that you can not get a visitors visa without having a hotel reservation. Is this true and does it mean that when family/friends come to see us in Doha we will have to book them into a hotel?
there are no restrictions even u can apply upon ur sponsership jus u need to prove ur 1st relation
No body likes to keep there inlaws at there place espacely mother-in-law other then that there r no restrictions
I don't know how much it varies by nationality but I have had loads of UK passport holding family here and there are no restrictions. I use Al Maha meet and greet to save my family having to queue up and pay for the visas, they just get taken off the plane and processed in a VIP lounge although that is just a room with chairs and orange squash! You can book it at the airport, they need at least 24 hours notice and the full name, nationality and flight no of the passenger.
