Just arrived in Doha on Sunday evening and now working out here.
As a petrol head any tips on obtaining tickets for the motor sports events. As I am here would like to take full advantage of attending.
tickets are normally sold at QMMF near the Centre. i think it's still a bit too early to find tickets for the race. normally there's no rush of spectators who attend. if you're really lucky like i was for the past 3 yrs, you can get in free!
Rumours are that Losail Circuit will hold two car races on the 13/14 February 2009:
(1) GP2 Series Championship
(2) Speed Touring Cars Championship
also check the below link. it look like you enjoy these kinds of things.
Just turn up on the Night, I did last year and got in just as the race was about to start. Demand is not very high with the locals, last year it was packed out with Philippino's cheering on an amateur guy.
There is a ticket order form available from the Losail wed site www.circuitlosail.com (I think) - navigate to it through the Events link. $30 for a 3 day pass - bargain!
Try Alfardan Ducati dealer as they will be co-sponsors as Ducati dealer , Danni there should be able to help and tell you where to get tickets or pay on the day at the circuit as not a big crowd expected !
Let me know if you find out where to get tickets for the MotoGP - I've been trying for weeks to find them. Nobody at work is interested so they can't help.
I had a drive out to the Losail Circuit last weekend just to look around. It's not far outside of Doha about three miles past the University.
