Two Qataris made it into the Guinness World Records on Wednesday after setting the Trans-Gulf speed record.
Sheikh Hassan bin Jabor al-Thani and Abdullah al-Sulaiti sailed by speedboat from Abu Dhabi to Doha in just one hour 55 minutes and 14 seconds, reports Gulf Times.
“Everything went according to plan right from the start in Abu Dhabi. It was clear skies and smooth sailing. My first aim was to cross the international border and didn’t want to go back to Abu Dhabi like in 2008. Once we did that, we were relieved and stuck to the chalked out course,” Sheikh Hassan told the paper.
