Vodaphone Doha Hockey club have started training for the new season.
Doha Hockey Club welcomes all players looking to play social hockey. Doha Hockey Club has a broad player base from beginners to ex-International and European first division players from all corners of the globe. Doha Hockey Club plays mixed hockey, for all ages.
The Club practices from 8pm to 9.30pm on Tuesday nights and 10-12am on Friday mornings. We play on International standard water-based Astroturf pitches at Al Rayyan Sports Club, where the Asian Games hockey tournament was held in 2006.
From September 2010, Doha Hockey Club plans to develop this one step further and commence ladies only training sessions. These sessions will include some basic hockey skills with some coaching from the senior ladies. Training is at the Al Rayyan sports club on Fridays 9-10am with the option to stay and train with the whole club afterwards.
The Club also has a strong social tradition with a wide variety of events and international tours throughout the year.
