I am a Scot, who has travelled since the late 70s, worked in Marine Engineering, Oil & Gas and Structural engineering projects. I have lived in the UAE and have good friends there from all walks of life. I have recently finished a large project in Germany and am now in to Qatar, which I only ever visited on business development trips in the late 90s, so I suppose that a lot has changed.
I have had lots of motorbikes, reconstructed cars, mainly 2 seaters and love boats. I ws Officer of the Day in the late 90s for the Abu Dhabi Cruisers Club but done nothing serious about boats for years but maybe I will now that I am out of Europe.
I am an old Rangers and Kilmarnock fan, my sons are Newcastle supporters for my sins and I play darts when I can unfortunately unable to find anywhere to play and enjoy a few games whilst in Qatar.
