DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Project Planning - Identifying the estimated cost and specify the final requirements (labor and materials) for a project. Developing and implementing a schedule that allows the team to execute all the tasks within a specified timeline.
• Material Purchase - Market research/segmentation for the various materials and vendors in the market. Negotiating with the vendors and places orders as per the project requirement. Provide details of purchase to the relevant department.
• Quality Testing and Control - In-charge of testing raw materials. Follows a certain set of tests to identify the strength and durability of the materials (Steel) to be used in production of fabricated products.
• Supervision and Mentoring - Supervising the activities of the production staff and provide technical support and advice if they face a setback. Keeps a track of project report and investigate into matters that may cause a delay in the project.
• Assist in Installation - Once the goods are produced, report the unresolved issues to the authorities and assists in the investigation to identify possible solutions.
• Documentation - Responsible for documenting the project details and also makes provision for detailed information regarding all the phases of the projects.
• Administrative Tasks - Also require executing certain administrative tasks and accordingly in some cases preparing records, making payments, schedule meetings with clients, or assist in other aspects of administration.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:-
• Knowledge of reading P&ID and Isometric drawings.
• Identifying and Selection of WPS for fabrication of Piping like welding processes – SMAW, GTAW, FCAW & SAW and the welder qualification requirements.
• Knowledge of various materials like CS, LTCS, NACE & SS, DSS used in Oil and Gas Industry.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards like ASME, ANSI, API.
• Knowledge on Steel Sections like RHS, SHS, CHS, MS PLATE, ANGLES and BEAMS.
• Well versed in the application of NDT techniques including RT, UT, MT, and PT as per codes and standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensuring all inspections and tests are carried out as indicated on the appropriate Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) for Piping and Fitting Materials such as IBR, CS, SS, NACE and LTCS, DSS from material inspection to Final dispatch.
• Reviewing of Quality Assurance Plan of contractors as per ASME specification and requirement.
• Reviewing corrective actions recommended in non-conformance reports, initiate and verify corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of non-conformity.
• Inspecting of weld visual of fabricated pipe spools, RT film interpretation, Material identification as per mat code, Heat number, TC and color code such as IBR, NACE, LTCS etc. as per spec. requirement., Routine Hydrostatic Tests, Pneumatic Tests and final dispatch activity as per piping requirement of Line class in Pipe Fabrication shop.
• Instrumental at Control of Repair Welding, Interpretation of RT film and witness of other NDT for Piping Materials, Fittings, such IBR, CS, SS, NACE & LTCS.
• Execution Piping fabrication & erection & commissioning schedule to meet the target with in the planned time frame.
• Execution of piping spools Fabrication & Erection for RT and final clearance as per spec and code requirement and Line class for further process
• Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
• Monitoring on inspection reports on stage wise.
• Monitoring production, keeping control over activities and analyzing processes for stabilization thereby ensuring smooth operations.
• Document, Record Maintenances, Document Updating in Spool though SAP system, Report Preparation, Status Reporting, Coordination with Contractor and subcontractor for Corrective and Preventive Actions.

• Visual inspection of raw materials, structural beams, column, pipes and tubes and all fabrication works.

• Attended Customized Certificate Course on CATIA conducted by department of Mechanical Engineering , Theni Kammavar Sangam college of technology
