don't know. i find social gatherings to be a good place to meet potential interesting men..but not the best place to hook up with them. Same applies for clubs and pubs of course.

call me old-fashioned. but if a guy likes me..he'll have to ask me out properly, then go through the whole traditional courtship process:

1. wine and dine her
2. compliment her
3. wine and dine some more
4. bring her flowers, chocolate, etc..
5. repeat steps 1 through 4 as long as necessary
6. make a move
7. be a gentleman: if you say your'e gonna call, call her. otherwise state clearly that you are not going to do so.

i assume you all know the rest so i'll refrain from lecturing you :p
