Hello iourtaev....

I've finished CCSP couple of months back. I believe from Jan 2k7 you would be having Cisco ASA, IPS added and a complete change in the blue print for CCIE Security. I've used cisco asa 5500 here in my current job and I used three asa 5500 to prepare and pass ccsp-snpa exam. A complete change in the command syntax in the new Cisco ASA compared to Pix Firewall 6.0 ...

Good luck to you for Security I wanna pass R&S first then I'll think about security.

I won't be having problem in hardware access as my employer already has 8 - 12 3560 switches just for testing which is enough for me to do all layer-3 as well as layer-2 stuff.

Thanx for the information you have shared. Hope to meet a CCIE in doha.

Hello Mohammed !!

Salams to you ....
I think best way to learn CCIE is to practice and workout materials available by various CCIE training companies in the internet. For exam workbooks, online class room, bootcamps. Heinz Ulm bootcamp conducted at Egypt are really good. I don't think New Horizon is good for learning CCIE. My friends had pretty bad experience with them. Also New Horizon is not famous or know for having produced more CCIE's in the industry atleast in the gulf region.

Only 7 CCIE's are in Qatar if I'm not wrong. It has great value all of the world esp. if you have excellent experience. But you need to work very very hard and with cisco hardware if you wanna pass the lab exam.

I think you must first finish CCNA and then think about CCIE. It takes approx. 12 - 18 months to prepare for CCIE Exam and on the contrary your exam blueprint keeps changing very often these days.

I'm doing CCIE not for any promotion in job ... only to keep myself update and the interest I've for TCP/IP.

Good luck to you for your certification studies.

yours...
