The fact that 1 wacko scholar ( if u can even call him a scholar ) said something stupid, doesnt have 2 indicate that this is a wide spread phenomenon everywhere....

As a religion, Islam has no reservations on married couples spending a romantic evening/night any time of the year, V day included...
the only issue is ( if u even want to consider that an issue), that islam has stipulated only 2 " FEASTS" every year...
very extereme scholars use this a pretext to try and ban all other forms of celebrations including birthdays....
Its mostly a futile excercise on their part, and the vast majority of Muslims with any kind of education dont even bother listening to such views...
islam not only promotes love between married couples, it actually promotes " Love making "
According to Islam, having sex with ur husband/wife, and satisfying them sexually is a good deed, one that brings upon u God;s content and Grace...
Even more, Islam encourages married couples to be very adventerous in their sexual relationships and do EVERYTHING THAT EXCITES THEM...
The only sexual activity prohibited by islam, is anal sex...( for it can never bear fruit "children" and also the obvious health hazards associated with it)...and also having sex during the woman;s period ..

I dont know who the heck this " know it all guy " is , and i can tell u right off the bat that i think his views are dull, boring, outdated, and entirely ubreadable( to put it politely)...

He has posted that MOST extreme openion of all, and he is the ONLY ONE u ALL quoted from, testimony to the fact that u r LOOKING FOR WAYS TO GET FREAKED OUT ABOUT ISLAM AND MUSLIMS, rather than really trying to understand and digest it, which i find very sad...
i understand u felt attacked when V day was talked about as a way to encourage adultary, but i hope u agree with me that not everytime u feel attacked u must respond by attacking back...especially when the person attacking u is clearly " way over the top" if u get my drift..
Men from all walks of life ( surely including the arab world) , go to some places in the world to have lots of sex...
I bellieve the highest number of teen sex toursists in asia last year was british...
It doesnt prove anything except that some Men from all cultures of the world , whether british or arab, are plain disgusting...
No one with half a fair mind can attribute that to niether christiaity or islam ( or juadism for that matter)....
