While your RP is being processed you are not allowed to leave the country. I am in exactly the same situation. You should actually not be holding your passport right now. If you have done your medical (x-ray, blood test for HIV and blood test for blood group) they will take your passport from you straight away and you have to wait until getting it back to be allowed to travel. That will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks now.
