you can renew your rp before even 4 months ,without losing anything.and if you out side qatar and you have valid rp then your sponsor will submit papers in airport immigration.if they submit before 6 months ends you can stay 6 months more.but if he submit after 6 months oficer will give limited period.but you should have very strong reason otherwise he can refuse your entry.
