Since you already hijacked your own thread (ha,ha). Fishing is one of my favorite pastimes as well. When I visited Doha recently my husband took me out to the Al Wakra area and we just fished off the shore. If you get the Qatar Marhaba book there is information in there for fishing as well. You can book a fishing charter.

I am trying to get back to Doha some time this summer and hope to do a little deep sea fishing this time. DaRude may be right though, it may be too hot. Oh well, I would give a shot anyway. I could always come home with a story about the one that got away.
