Unfortunately most of the submitted answers seem to be from people not working in the hotel industry. QR 3500 is a standard salary for asst outlet manager. What you do need to do is enquire as to what bonus you will be renumerated with, this depends on the revenue generated usually over a 3 month period. There is also a service charge that some hotels pay in addition to your salary. And restaurants usually make a decent amount of tips. One must also remember that this salary is tax free, which is not applicable in the states and not only is accomodation provided for, but also electricity (in a city where we survive on 45 degree weather in summer... you need to have the airconditioning on all the time), gas and water. So essentially the QR 3500 is pocket money, you shouldn't have too many more expenses except the occasional meal (since meals are also provided in the hotel) and your phone bill (however even that is sometimes deducted by the hotel... since you will use it to call other colleagues for work related issues). Hotel salaries worldwide are low, but in the middle east you can be happy that the money you make is pocket money, since everything is provided for and it is tax free.
