The point of discussion I am to make is about the purpose of love and yearning for validation. Why can we not disconnect ourselves from this instinct now that it is itself invalid? Its original purpose was to ensure reproduction and sustaining of the human species by keeping partners together. But now the world is overpopulated, is there any point to our lives being still so centred around courtship and marriage and a family? Should it still be the positive convention of an individual's acheivement in life?
An most importantly why should it be that people who say 'I don't want children' or 'I don't believe in marriage' are looked at in a negative light considering this?
Are our notions and views of courtship outdated for the situation?
Or maybe its all simply the fear of being alone... should we be afraid?
