Yeah was hearing about it on the news on radio this morning. "A historic day in making today as President APJ Abul Kalam makes way for India's first woman President."

President has not may powers in our country. So there's very little 'change' in terms of development and women empowerment anyway. But yes it is indeed a historic thing to have a first ever WOMAN as India's President, thats quite a change isn't it?

This is regardless to the mails that have been floating around about Pratibha Patil's past and the big goof ups she did with a bank she started. Well if you wanna be little generous and let Mr. Bush get away with so much, I guess she's entitled for forgiveness from her past.

Btw, what 'change' are you talking about? I think women are not doing so bad in India as you've potrayed in your post.
