Hi, I must say I was very impressed by DMBS. Its siutated in a large villa and the shady garden is reminiscent of a village green. The general feeling of the school is friendly and welcoming. The staff were very nice and given the fact that they can't hide behind any mod-cons you do get a feeing of what you see is what you get and what you get appears to be quality teaching. The school is full of the childrens artwork and at the time of our visit the older children were enjoying a game of rounders. The Head Mistress is ex Doha College and is on a mission to bring DMBS up to being one of the premier schools in Doha.
With regard to school places, I would suggest that you take whatever places you are offered, if they are not from your preferred school then stay on your preferred school's waiting list and move the children if and when places come up. Dont take the risk of holding out for places at your preferred school as you could end up with no places at all.
