Is anyone really ''the best''?? What constitutes being the best? And who are some of these people you are comparing yourself to? What would you like to be better at?

The other night I went to a reading at CNA and the writer said that the best books are not necessarily the ones you see on the shelves in the bookstore...sometimes the best books are lying in a waste paper basket somewhere...we just don't get to read them because the writer wasn't bold enough to carry on or believe in themselves...

That is paraphrased, but she said something cool like that.... :)

I've been told that some times our parenting is related to our need to compare ourselves...I don't agree with this whole thing in america going on in schools where ''everyone is a winner'' etc etc...Kids perhaps just need to learn how to lose well, and still believe in themselves..
