From past experience and viewing colleagues mis-haps in the desert I definitely wouldn't take the Armada or the Sequoia. Both far to heavy for the sand and will get buried more often than not, dont handle very well in desert conditions at all. We are going to the desert today and will be joined by our friend's who have been using their 2006 Tahoe on all of our trips for the last 3 yr's with us, no problems at all, much better ground clearance, in my opinion a very capable 4x4 and not as heavy as the other 2 also. Good luck and hope this helps you out with your dilema :-)
