Not true - its de-activated but NOT deleted - you cannot delete a facebook account. If you have a Facebook account, they've got you and your info for life.

I had an account for around a year, then started to feel like it was an intrusive introverted concept. I also read the fine print where everything you write and every image, movie etc you load becomes their propery to do with as they (Facebook) wish. I didn't quit - you can't. I did the next best thing and disabled my account. Again, according to the fine print, we are members permanently. Any organisation that feels the need to do that, isn't worth having in your life imho.
