iPad is good and has a lot of apps. but its software is closed and so there is less freedom to the user and managing it with iTunes is a big pain. It is however, user-friendly and doesnt have viruses.
On the other hand, Galaxy has less (less by 500 or so) apps but it is a much more open software so there are more variety of apps and there is no content limit. so stuff that you would have to jailbreak your iPad for are already there in the Android market place. But this makes it more prone to viruses and spam. Hoever, overall its pretty epic.
