I think this thread is a good example why it is important to look at how often a person posts and what their responses are in the posts because sooner or later a person's true personality will come out. The last thing anyone wants is to have someone who is a troublemaker, unstable or worse attending functions. Allowing people to join the group is not a trivial thing and in my opinion a big responsibility because everytime a new person joins in on a function there is risk. By trying to get a sense of the individual through their posts before allowing entry into he group and access to information about functions, DaRuDe is performing a vital service.
