It is breach of privacy, so this is really bad... In my home country, years ago already the supermarkets had certain items on offer which you could only profit from if you had a customer card. With this customer card they would track your spending pattern and make suitable offers for you. But of course nobody knew that this was happening when they signed up for the card.

I think it should not be possible for any company to register this without you knowing.
