thats right abuA,its true nobody complains when its workin to their advantage..
but sometimes its a bit too shitty, when u c that even guys doing the same manual work(for example in security agencies here)..get paid according to their nationality for guarding their assigned resposibilities..it doesnt matter if the company is a multinational based in europe, but the workers get paid according to nationality..not on any other criteria..(i guess it makes good business sense to the parent company..but shitty all the same..
i know its a bit different sometimes when u go up the job ladder, but most employers here tend to favour the first world, due to many positive factors but also the negative influence of a prejudiced mindset, esp among the insecure local management(who are generally clueless bout their jobs anyway) in many govt. co's in qatar..but thats another issue, developing countries from the 3rd world have numerous capable/qualified personalities but unfortunately, they dont always get counted bcos these countries still have to prove their standing internationally on a whole lot of issues and it takes time to get to a point where u can actually reach the standard of living the first world currently has..and i'm not just talking recent times, but decades of leading the rest of the world politically/financially etc..
So everybody here, esp from the 1st world countries(or even people with work experience from 1st world countries) ,at least once they get here eventually play along n try to maximise from whatever is offered/up for grabs..cant really blame them..its all bout the money,people..
dont get me wrong, but if the discrimination really gets to you,u have the option of giving ur employer a piece of your mind,or canning it n discussing it on posts here/getting out or finding a better place to work..
In the end lets all b honest,if the locals were so professionally enlightened, none of us expats would be here, would we?
cheers..
