Not so sure about better salary when you factor in the CPI, the cost and quality of living.
According to my calculation on some position in comparison to Calgary, I have been offered jobs that were paying less here in the region.
It feels like it is a "Mirage"
When taking into consideration employer contribution of your pension, stock option, education allowances, professional fees which are paid by employers in Canada, these benefits are somewhat nonexistent in Qatar.
As for Tax Free Salary... because I have a house, I do not have a "taxes-free salary" thus becoming irrelevant since I still pay taxes.
Thus, negotiating salary here has to be argued and negotiated on such factual grounds, right?
So to say 99.9% of salaries are better in Qatar might be true if you are from the third world countries, but not so true and debatable for some position in North America... I cannot speak for Europe, I do not have enough information.
Thanks Dude!
