@Sidh --> when someone travels cross-country (like from Toronto to Calgary) why people pass thru US and not stick to Trans Canada highway 1?
Ans: It is not the quality of highway, it will be less distance if you go through US
Q.Would one consider Ottawa a city of any standards?
Ans.Come on Sidh!! go there in Tulip festival time , even there is no bus fare during that time. And that boat tour was just awesome. In ottawa most of the people are soo soo friendly, you will just feel like home.
Q.When I lived in Saudi (& mony other asian countries) the entire country is within a single network. Probably same thing happens in US.
Ans:NOP..you need to take a plan which covers your roaming charges. In saudi, may be they just have one carrier. In the USA if you drive from one city to another one it will be roaming.but cell phone usage is more expensive in Canada than US.
Q.do not forget that's a big source of income for CRA!!! People who come to live in quest of better life (& end up driving cabs)
Ans: In Canada our employers are little conservative than US, when they want to hire somebody if they do not feel comfortable, they will not hire you. In the USA an employer can hire you in the morning, and can fire you in the evening. :)sometimes Canadian employers want to hire Canadian educated people. no personal offense, but those people who end up with the driving cab, I think they are qualified in paper, but not in the field or they just lost their edge.
Anyway, I am not going to even judge Canada just by Toronto or Calgary. Canada can be proud of her health care system, zero tolerance on racism, friendliness of the neghbours and the natural beauty. And I strongly think, Canada made me a better human being, a better person, and a better father!!
