I recently purchased an LG BD370 bluray player which had a special promotion, ie it came bundled with 2 bluray movies of my choice. The price is QR 1220 and the 2 movies are worth 320 - 380 in Qatar so it was a great deal.
If you are looking for a multi-region bluray player then im afraid you wont find it in qatar. Personally, you shouldnt bother much about the player being multiregion because many great bluray titles come all-region. Check out Amazon.com or amazon.co.uk or visit Virgin to check the bluray movies region.
I think some people are confused when it comes to regions on DVD and bluray. DVD has 9 regions, each for a specific part of the world such as DVD region 1 is US and canada. Bluray region division is different and it has only 3 regions that are A, B and C. A is US, canada etc. B is europe, middle east, africa and C is the rest of the world.
The LG bluray players can play ALL REGIONS OF DVD but not all regions of bluray. So if you have a huge collection of DVDs of various regions, you can enjoy them all with the LG bluray player but when buying bluray discs, you have to make sure that the title you buy is either region B or ALL-REGION A, B, C.
