If you're talking about clinical depression - then men get depressed as often as women in fact. They are however less likely to be diagnosed, as they're simply less likely to seek help from their doctor. Also - in most cultures it is deeply embarassing for a man to admit he is depressed.

If you're talking about the general feeling down - then they probably do experience it less, as they just dwell on it less ;o) they go to the gym, meet friends etc. You know what they say - pretend you feel good and soon you will feel good ;o)
