British Airways is a national disgrace. Their cabin crew behave like petulant children or worse still treat you the paying customer like a naughty child. The quality of both male and female cabin crew is very dubious indeed. All cabin crew are shall we say on the more mature side and frankly struggle to muster a smile between them - in general terms the attitude that I have experienced on this route is shoddy. In this case, maturity does NOT = a better more understanding attitude at work. The British Airways cabin crew are amongst the most militant anywhere in Europe and that is not anything to be proud of - but that is a different argument that is off thread. The rolling stock(planes) on the Doha - Bahrain - London route is old 747 as such the in flight entertainment is limited. The food is subjective and down to personal choice - I found it bland and indifferent. The fare IS cheaper than Qatar Airways but you do have the inconvenience of a 90 minute on the tarmac stop at Bahrain which sucks. It baffles me as to why BA havent embraced the Doha route in an aggressive fashion - Qatar is arguably the hottest thing on the Middle East menu and BA continually bow to Qatar Airways superiority.
All in all there is little to commend British Airways in general and in particular on the Doha route. Just an opinion of one who has travelled the route a "few" times - I also fly the route with QA so I am able to make the comparison.
