Im in the same boat as you, dont like live either, so put my little one(7month old) in a day care and then got Everclean to come once or twice a week. 

if you like the interviewee then yes i would say get passport copy and Id copy(you are not allowed to take originals), but these days no one can be trusted, so its gonna have to be best judgement on your side.
