yes i was there and i was also there in the asian cup games....and i saw them and i even spoke to some of them.......where did u park ur car btw?? didnt u notice those busses parked in the empty ground opposite to the stadium.......the looong lines of labourers wud snake all the way to the entrance while a co-worker wud give them all a thob n a hat oh and also the flag......works well with the camera thing ...loads and loads of "citizens" attending......i guess all u cud do was open ur eyes......they werent sitting too far away now were they......u wont see the camera man zooming to them...lols!!
there is no support culture here....and u know it...it only comes when they play important games and they might win something.......
btw..... lazaroni or even zico or pele......a team not only needs a good coach...it also needs discipline and dedication and a loyal passionate fan base........when u entice players with money and material possesions its jus a play for fun sake.......
i have seen the india vs qatar match....and i sware i have yet to see a group of supporters and also team (inspite of their humbleness) played with so much passion and dedication tht they actually won the game......
