again...its sad...for the so called "local commentators" here to go about saying the same old adage and repitative quote for a million times...."you dont like it, then leave!" sigh!!
my dear bros and sisters u seem to miss the point, the discussion here was on the economic impact and not the fact tht they are bitter abt it..... most if not all of the people are content (im choosing my words right!) for being here and working in the country, and it is indeed their second home...... and most of the people respect and uphold the name of qatar when they go abroad....ofcoarse the good and the bad is said.....so they wont be hypocritical and say oh yeah its all roses and perfume scented......mind u no one or no where is........ (no b**t kissing there...jus my opinion!)
after all they did come here to seek a better living and also better social status.... all the people are not alike, some good and some not so good....the same way with ALL types of people.......which includes the locals...... sadly saying all this is like forcing a horse to drink water.....so im gonna jus let u know there is no sour feelings for it all.... most dont expect to be treated like citizens.......but on the other hand......jobs and stuff in ur life is not "ENTILTLED" ...... everybody works hard for it...... which means tht certain jobs can be done by certain people......and so u have this situation whereby "certain" jobs only can be taken by the locals.......
I ask God to bless the government , and the country.....
now for the economic part....
it seems tht alot of the commentators are still persistant abt the fact tht this wud not bring prices up......helooooo wake up everyone its simple common sence...YES IT WILL!! no matter how vigilant or how strict the control of prices ( btw i dont think its tht strictly controlled) it wud eventually rise up......am talking abt the whoooole lot...be it in food, necessaties, clothing, transport, govt and priv sector services......soon enuf EVERYONE wud also feel the pinch......here are a coupla more reasons why it wud definately be on the rise.....
1. falling of petroleum prices
2. falling of US dollar value....
fall in these mean the ultimate rise in prices.....and these are the key and important elements tht define the value of the economy here.....
like i earlier said......strong and persistant control of prices is paramount and trust me the citizens have a strong concern abt this...( read in todays ALraya paper)........so it all depends on the authorities and hope they dont lax and take it easy atleast on this!!!
