HEY Cupid - well which is it??? Old testament doesnt apply or only applies if no contradictions with the new???
There is a reason why the bible contains the old testament. You cannot fufil new without the old. In fact the majority of the Bible is the old testament. We are talking about the same "God" where is clearly states that yahweh and his word are "unchanging". If you believe he is an omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent being, then NO, you don't get to go changing around him or his words, and neither does he, unless he is a liar -- and if he is a liar, then why believe anything he says? You better reread your bible.
You say you have a "God". How would you define your "God'????. Is this "God" transedant? Does your "God" speak to you???
BTW - the new testament is far worse as new it introduces eternal torture - HELL.
