We visited the Aqua Park during Eid- went on the first day on Sunday to avoid the crowds. It was fun - everyone agreed that they would go back. Pros- Alert and polite lifeguards everywhere, so you do feel that safety is a priority.Since we went on the first day, the crowds were quite right- not too much, not too little(one of the common problems in Qatar- the place is empty, so you dont want to go there again. There was something for the teenagers, toddlers, adults, so everyone had fun.Dress code is still not strictly enforced now- there were women wearing bikinis although we were cautious about what we wore. We did click pictures and were not stopped, we did not know it was not allowed.Cons- The washrooms and changing rooms are pathetic- cleanliness is not upto the mark, even though there are staff around. There are no maps and no announcements regarding the attractions around the park- you have to find it yourself(we did not know about the space boat and so, we missed it).The wave pool was offlimits for quite some time, because the Qatar television channel decided to conduct some water sports for kids there. All the announcements are in Arabic. There are limited shaded spots, so go there early. It is not Wild Wadi- the lazy river is tiny, the park is very tiny, if you compare it to Wild Wadi.My advice- go with realistic expectations and you will enjoy it. If you go there, expecting the kind of planning, organising, facilities, available in similar attractions around the world, you will be disappointed.
