It has a good reputation in terms of staff and students. It's intentional with no one dominant national group, but there is a strong Dutch presence since the school offers Dutch language classes as per an agreement with the Dutch Embassy (largely for Shell employees).
It's a new school with more than one campus, and so, like new schools, the facilities are not great when compared to DESS or ASD.
I know a number of American families who selected Compass as a second choice when they could not secure places at ASD when they first arrived. Some ultimately moved to ASD when spots became available, but several elected to stay at Compass.
My advice is to accept the places unless you have a secured spot at ASD or (if you want the British curriculum DESS or Doha College). Once you are in Doha you can visit the various schools, talk to parents, and decide if Compass is where you want to be long-term.
