Following from my earlier post today before I got interrupted - the SNC representative, Mr. Louay Safi was very calm and collected in his answers and quite impressive in his ability to get his point across succinctly. He did say that the Russian claim in pushing for a negotiated settlement doesn't quite hold water as it clearly supported Assad in the UNSC and constant supply of weapons to Assad's forces also indicates otherwise. He hopes that Russia will re-calculate.
Mr. Louay also made it clear that the revolution started out as only a peaceful call for reform, not regime change. It escalated into what it is now and it is still not a level playing field.
Hope and prayers for the Syrian people, that resolution of the conflict will come swiftly, for the sake of innocent lives.
