I totally agree with that comment. Democracy would destroy this country and the progress it has made over the past two decades, because it would give people like him a voice in government. Qatar would revert back to what it was in the 1930s/early 40s--about 20,000 people starving in abandoned fishing villages and living in real fear of its neighbors. Best to leave it to the handful of Qataris who have a proven themselves capable of implementing a vision that will better this country's chances of survival and prosperity.
