Companies are using original materials to produce shoes, bags, wallets, etc. Just because the brand logo is on the shoes, they will still be able to copy it. Make sure you buy shoes from a licensed retailer shop, and or buy it online from the factory website.

What I like to do is go check out the product at the retail store, write down the model name and then look it up online. Therefore you know what exactly you are getting.
