First I'm glad that it isn't your car. Second If I had read this detailed article I would've saved myself from a big loss and grief.
I accepted that it is nothing but NAZR (evil eye) for my happiness which lasted for nearly 6 months.
Please don't ask me the brand of the car, company name and mechanic shop......:(
In brief, I bought a second hand car for 30.5 K QAR, drove for 20 days...engine problem re-surfaced... minor repair problems led to complete failure of engine....somehow managed to buy second hand engine from Dubai (so much follow-up & phone calls to Saudi and Dubai dealers, friends)....the mechanic couldn't fix the engine correctly...engine was starting but some problem was still there...Company couldn't diagnosed the problem...they tried few initial steps and wanted to re-haul complete engine and gave cost value too high... then simultaneously offered me a deal... that someone will buy the car in as it is condition but at half of my purchase price.... I agreed and sold... on the day when I went to do the transfer I saw the car in neat condition with plastic on seat covers etc.... engine was not starting...I felt sad and sold...by then I had almost waited 5 months and spent 12K QAR on repair alone. I took my car on tow nearly 7 times... from home. company & garage.....Last time when I was towing I felt like a chisel had gone in my heart and it is causing me much pain.
I knew people in between cheated me by making up stories and the worst of all is ...the company didn't offer proper support. Exactly 25 days later I saw the same car on QL for sale for +5K more than my original price.
It was my first car...I bought like a dream...which I couldn't fulfill back home..So many months savings gone in drain...When I see the that company car logo the pain re-surfaces. I never shared this story on QL but today couldn't stop myself from doing because it will help others before buying. I excluded some painful points from the above.
I don't remember exactly if it was in Miles or KM...but will check that site for sure.
