Talk about bad meters, one of the drivers once told me that that there are some cabs whose meters are tampered and they run fast, even when they are put on day meter. Even the supervisors who distribute the work schedules, knows about it. Usually the drivers try to wake up early and go get the cars which run faster, as they can reach their targets earlier. Obviously, the driver who spoke to me , was someone who was not favored for such cars. The old taxi system really sucks and they like to continue sleeping on it. I like the services or the Cabs with yellow and grey-black tops. Their meters are good and the seats are fitted with sensors, but there are a few bad apples even there. Some drivers press on some menu and the systems awaits for him to make a choice. The smart driver does not make the choice and that is where the sensors I think also dont work. He uses such time to pick up and drop anyone of his choice and charge them with any amount of his choosing. Another cab driver, once asked to sit at the back with my legs up, making sure my thighs dont touch the senser. He is ofcourse picky of whom he asks. He only asks the lean people whose can do such a thing, but of course he has to be stupid too. I am lean (not skinny) but not stupid for sure.
