I am hoping that you are saying, 15000 QAR not dollars. By the way, talk to a tax consultant before you accept the job offer. Every riyal paid to you is taxable in Canada, including housing, transportation, moving expense, flights return home etc etc unless you give up all you ties to Canada since Qatar is not a tax treaty country with Canada. Your basic salary, special allowance or any kind of allowance, are all taxable. Dont dream of tax free salary. CRA will come behind you and ask you to pay taxes and penalties. Remember, if you have unpaid student loan, you are a resident of Canada. I have seen on this forum full professors (not assistant professors) getting paid only a total salary of 25000 qar per month - someone who hails from France. So, dont expect 15000 $. You will be lucky if all of your compensation package together include 15000 QAR.
