6 month before re entry - for family visa

Hi Qlers,

Need your thoughts on this.

My husband just applied for Family visa for me and my daughter but wasd denied. My husband used to work there but luckily was allowed to get a new Job. He got his visa already with the new company. Me and my daughter
were there in Qatar under my husband's sponsorship till our visas were cancelled and we exited last April 29, 2010.

As his previous company's policy, not allowing direct transfer we had no choice but cancelled our visa. My husband came there first, got his new work visa last June 2010. But when he applied for our visa (me and our daugter) were were denied for the reason that we need to wait for 6 months after our exit date. Is that true?

Any suggestion on this please? Do we really need to wait for 6 months? How about applying for family visit visa (6months) instead then process our visa when i get there.

thank you for your time.

1 month sufficed as long as it is salary transfer with company certification. I did it before!

it depends on the nationality. for an example, Pakistanis need only 3 months to come back while some nationalities require 6 months to 1 year.

Hi guys, just an update.

It was indeed a wrong informnation given to us. My husband went to the Ministry of Labor himself and ask for the result of our application. He was told that it's because of bank statement. He needs to present a 6 months statement with salary transfer. Well, he's been there for 2 months only and he just opened an account and his first salary transfer will probably be this end of the month yet. That i can believe the true reason and not that we need to wait for 6 months.

I've already advised my husband to go to immigration to apply for our family visit visa rather than paying 2000QAR for the mandoob or whoever that guy is claiming that it will be a sure approval.

Thanks again.

really depends on the moods of the approving party! You need to convince them effectively!

Thanks soniya. i have done the same way back 2007, i came here on visit then i converted it to RP same i did with my daughter. I processed it myself without a PRO.It was just shocking to hear that the reason of the deny was that we need 6 months before re entry. that's what my husband's pro said.

I don't know. so hard. anyway, thank you so much for all your replies.i will let you know once i get the approval of our visit visa.

there is nothing called 6 months before re-entry, it's all depend on the following:

- the nationality

- the husband/sponsor salary

- the husband/sponsor designation as per the RP

- the Immigration approval/reject.

even if all of the family's RP cancelled they can comeback once the husband/sponsor's RP is ready and stapmed on his passport.

It would be better if your husband try to call you and your baby on VISIT VISA(6months) first and later try to convert it into RP...

People working in Qatar can sponsor family and relatives for a period of up to six months. (The initial stay is for one month, and this can be renewed up to a total of six months.) Wives and children can come for up to a year.

To apply for the visa the applicant will need a copy of their id or passport and a copy of the visitor’s passport (a scan will do), a letter from the applicant’s own sponsor (i.e. their employer) and proof of their relationship such as birth and marriage certificates. You also need two photographs of the visitor.. The visit visa lasts for one month but can renewed for up to five months for immediate family and for up to two months for other family residents.
